Francesco Cigana explores his expressive potential mainly via percussion instrument, focusing on melodic/ timbric research, on the hypnotic-ritual dimension and the merging and contamination between different art forms (poetry, videoart, calligraphy, dance..) He’s active in different projects and groups in Italy and Europe, like Permeable, Francesco Cigana Trio, The Fifth, Panaleoke, Jashgawronsky Brother, D.O.O.O.M. Orchestra just to name a few. He often performs as soloist, in site specific performances, or in other formats like concerts in the dark, or more straightforward solo.
Francesco is the Artistic Director of the A Love Supreme Impro Festival, as well as a content creator and a teacher.
