Quartetto Obliquo is a versatile string quartet that ranges from experimental to contemporary music, offering unconventional performances through collaborations with composers, instruments, and performers from diverse musical languages. Classically trained, the quartet was formed in 2019 with the goal of exploring sonic possibilities beyond the timbral and technical boundaries of the traditional string quartet. They have performed for Trieste Classica, Fondazione Luigi Nono, Monom (FR), and collaborated with various composers such as Enrico Gabrielli, Sofia Pozdnyakova, and Giovanni Mancuso. They were quartet-in-residence at Cosmogram (Giudecca – Venice) and are the winners of the 2024 Reate Festival International Contemporary Music Interpretation Competition.
